11eyes: Sin, Damnation, and the Atonement Girl 11eyes -罪と罰と贖いの少女- (11eyes: Tsumi to Batsu to Aganai no Shōjo)

After losing his sister seven years ago, Satsuki Kakeru led a vacant life, only able to return to normal with help from his childhood friend Minase Yuka and other friends at school. Suddenly one day the sky turns red, and the moon turns black. Everyone around Kakeru and Yuka disappears and monsters start roaming the streets. They are able to run away and hide and after a while, the world returns to normal. But just when they thought this world was a dream, the Red Night occurs again. Kakeru and Yuka manage to find four other humans involved in this mysterious phenomenon: Kusakabe Misuzu, a red-haired onmyouji swordswoman, Tachibana Kukuri, a strange mute girl who looks like Kakeru's deceased sister, Hirohara Yukiko, a lively young girl who reverts to the personality of a cold killer when her glasses are removed, and Tajima Takahisa, a young pyrokineticist with a heated attitude to boot.

They get together and try to survive, but six shadows suddenly appear in front of them.... These six shadows call themselves the "Black Knights," and for an unknown reason wish to kill Kakeru and friends. The teenagers wind up coming across a girl with flowing silver hair wearing a white dress, trapped in a red crystal. Her name is Lisette. She claims that she is being held captive and asks for their help. The Black Knights prevent them from doing anything and begin referring to Kakeru's friends as "fragments" and to Kakeru as "the bearer of the 'eye of Aeon'." As they go on trying to survive, the six teenagers gradually form bonds and begin to work together in order to defeat the Black Knights, in the hopes that this will end the Red Night once and for all.

Here is the preview:

  1. I've watched this anime before and in my opinion its an okay anime but the story is kinda messed up. I kinda didn't get the gits in the last episode. What do you think? :)

  2. HI Jovian,
Do you mean the 12th ep or 13th ep?
If you are referring 12th, all the characters back to their normal lifestyles and the might be another sequel.
If you are referring to 13th, this episodes has nothing to do with previous episodes. This is like OVA, kinda like a small spinoff. Since we are watching from 1-12 episodes, the story kinda intense all the way. I think the producer want the characters to be relax from their worries and create a comedy-like episode whereby the male characters being changed to the female characters to ease the heroins stress as well as the audience stress.
Well, actually i agreed with your review in this anime. The only thing missing is the explanation part kinda cut short and the story seems kinda a little bit confused and mixed up in the point of audiences' view

    1. I haven't watch the OVA yet. But at the last episode what I don't quite understand is (I'll try not to spoil the ending for the viewers) something unexpected happens and it just twist your mind don't you think? (was it a flashback or a vision to the future. I still don't quite get it) I mean yea the anime is great with good conflict and such, but If only the director made the story line a bit better.

  3. I think something like vision in the future where the main character had to choose his decisions wisely where it might affect his surroundings. If not mistaken, the actual stories - we have to refer to the games in order to get more information instead of anime and manga.
